People Are Sharing The Reasons They Don't Have Children, And It Just Might Change Your Perspective On Things

 "I don't have the patience to deal with a kid all the time. Don't get me wrong, kids are amazing, but when they're someone else's and not when I'm the one responsible for educating them and making them into decent people. My lot in life is to be the fun uncle, not a father."

There's plenty of reasons why people don't have children. U/dannyparker123 recently asked the people of Reddit, "What's your reason for not wanting or having children?" The answers are worth reading:

1. "I can barely afford taking care of myself."



2. "Just never wanted them. No specific reason, just not interested."


3. "I’ve honestly never had a partner I could count on to coparent with me, despite them all wanting children. I’m not interested in ever being a single mother, especially with how things are going."


4. "I enjoy the freedom and flexibility of my current lifestyle, and I feel fulfilled without the responsibility of raising children."



5. "I have genetic bipolar disorder. Even though I found treatment, I would never wish such an illness and the struggle of finding the best treatment that comes with it."
